I never claim to be a photographer and I’ll be the first to admit I could learn so much about photography and editing, but I’m satisfied with the pictures I take of my child and why not enjoy the snapshots that I can create for free?

Here are some cute Valentine’s pictures of Keegan that he will be delivering to his favorite gals on February 14th - along with a card and a sweet treat (more on that, another day).

I was able to make all of the decorations for the pictures using card-stock, acrylic paint and ribbon that I had laying around the house.

Thankfully, Mike is such a trooper and goes along with all of my picture ideas.  It's hard to snap any without his help!

Now I'm going to go steal a kiss from K while he's sleeping! I'm running out of quarters ;)
Have a great weekend!

Doggy Party

Last weekend our dog, Bear, turned 4 years old!  We had never made a huge deal about his birthday before, just some extra love, extra treats and a new toy - nothing too special.  Since Keegan is at such a fun age I figured he would find the whole “dog having a birthday party” hilarious.  I must have over-thought the whole event because neither Keegan or Bear were as excited as I anticipated.  I did get a huge giggle out of K, though, when Bear swallowed his whole cupcake!

The cupcakes were so easy to make and better yet, the birthday boy loved them! Recipe below
Doggie Cupcakes: (makes about 5-6 cupcakes)

1/2 C rice flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/3 C water
1/4 C vanilla yogurt
2 tbsp peanut butter
1/4 C finely chopped carrots

Bake at 350 degrees about 20 mins & cool

Frosting: low-fat cream cheese
top with doggie's favorite treats

You can also check out Puppy Cake's website for special treats and cake mixes for your dog, shipped right to your door!

About Us - The Kreiser's

To start off at the beginning of it all, Mike and I "met" on a beach trip with mutual friends the summer of 2010.  We had known OF each-other but honestly, neither of us really knew anything about the other.  Let's just say during (and after) the beach trip, we were inseparable!

(Summer 2010)

I was still a student at a nearby university, so we lived for our weekends together.  The next summer, after months of bliss, we received some news that would rock our world.. we were expecting!  Keegan was born April of 2012 and what an adventure we have been on since then.

 (Fall 2013)

Mike is wonderful and although we struggle, he supports my decision to stay at home with our son.  I started this blog to show what's it's like to live a life at home: to teach, to play, to create and have fun with the little that we have!

Any parent knows what I mean when I say how much a child changes you for the better. We have had some roller coaster moments, but at the end of the day we love each other, we encourage each other, and we are so blessed.  Hope you enjoy The Kreiser Chronicles!
